Digital Camera
Digital Cameras are fast replacing their film-based cousins. The leading brands are Canon, Casio, Fujifilm, HP, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, and Sony.
Digital cameras come with either a fixed focus lens or a zoom lens. A zoom lens can zoom in on objects depending on the optical zoom capacity of the lens. Digital zoom option also available, but it is nothing but software interpolation of an image. You can find cameras with extended zoom ranges between 8x and 18x, giving added versatility for outdoor photography.
A high-quality sensor will reproduce a crisp image. Sensors are two types: CMOS and CCD. CMOS sensors are found in low cost cameras. CCD is expensive to produce and offer better image quality.
Digital camera processor with low cycle time is easy to use and allows quick photography.
Faster SD memory card, with a faster write speed is good.
Digital cameras are distinguished by their resolution-how many pixels, or picture elements, the image sensor contains. High resolution is preferred. Modern High Definition (HD) cameras are come with excellent resolution (greater than10MB)
There are four types of digital cameras are available: Ultra Compact Cameras, Compact Cameras, Mid-Range Cameras and Digital SLR.
SLRs (single-lens reflex),the largest and heaviest type, offer the most versatility and power, including interchangeable lenses.
Mid-Range Camera is what we term a growing category of
cameras offering many of an SLR'sbenefits for a
lot less money. They feature a more
versatile lens than other point-andshoots,
although it's built-in, rather
than interchangeable.
